We exist because nature needs us – 60 % of UK species are in decline – but also because we need nature.

Nature helps us thrive, without it we can't flourish as humans and we want to help people re-discover and awaken to the magic and potential of that.

The NIU is being developed as a collaboration with organisations including Swarm, National Trust, RSPB, Wildlife Trusts, Earthwatch and mySociety already onboard with advice and participation from many others across the State of Nature partnership and beyond. We are actively seeking more partners from as diverse sectors as possible to join us on the mission.
